This Excel based interactive tool dynamically shows the interaction between scene brightness or Exposure Value, ISO, Aperture, and Shutter Speed. The tool emulates Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual exposure modes. Exposure value is listed for common brightness descriptions, and creative scene effects are listed next to the required Shutter Speed.

The tool calculates the required exposure variables the same way that your camera does. It predicts when to use an image stabilized lense, or a tripod based on selected shutter speed and lens focal length. This calculator is included in the Exposure class.

This Excel based interactive tool displays the Depth of Field as Focal Length, Aperture, and Subject Distance are varied. In addition to the DOF graph, numerical values are given for DOF, near focus, far focus and the hyperfocal distance.

The camera sensor size also affects the DOF and can be selected as a 35mm, APS-H or APS-C size sensor. The tool also calculates the approximate vertical and horizontal Field of View at the subject distance for a given focal length and sensor combination. This calculator is included in the Depth of Field Class.
